The house itself is a restoration that left the good parts alone: original architectural details, two wood-burning stoves, a gas fireplace anchoring the main room. The kitchen is where the day starts and usually where it ends — custom cabinetry, soapstone counters, a proper range, a wet bar, and a breakfast nook that catches the morning. It runs straight into the combined living and dining space, where the farmhouse table is long enough for the kind of dinner nobody wants to get up from.
