Welcome to this unique waterfront dwelling that offers you the best of Historic Jamestown! History meets modern day amenities in this beautifully renovated home by the sea. “The Round House” was built in 1886 and has some of the most amazing views of Newport and Cling Stone.
The interior features two levels of living space with hardwood floors throughout. Upon entering the first-floor you will be greeted by a large fully equipped kitchen with a table that can comfortably seat four. The kitchen leads to a cozy family room with a flat screen TV. There are two bedrooms, one bedroom has bunkbeds and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. Additionally, there is a full-size bathroom with shower stall only and a washer & dryer conveniently located right outside the bathroom, therefore, both floors can access them.
Walk up the stairs to the second floor and take in the true beauty of “The Round House”. The family room is the center of the home, therefore, all of the other rooms situated on this level surround the family room in a circle-like fashion. The family room includes an original stone fireplace, a second flat screen TV and a gorgeous high ceiling that is encompassed with boat-like windows, which allow for natural sunlight to flow right in. Off the family room is a lovely dining room with French doors, a wall of windows, a built-in side table and a dining room table that comfortably seats six. Cook a family meal in the unique fully equipped kitchen that features a second original stone fireplace. Additionally, there are three bedrooms and a full bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower combo. One bedroom has a queen size bed, one has a twin size bed and the last one has three twin size beds.
There are double doors located on the second-floor family room that lead to a screened-in porch, this porch includes incredible views of the water and has a large table that is excellent for outdoor dining. The double doors are also great when left open to let the breeze off the water into the home. Off the porch is a water-facing deck that leads to two stone staircases on either side of the house. Furthermore, there is a front yard with a tree swing and plenty of room for yard games, a small outdoor patio with a gas grill and a dock.
This property is located in the desirable area of The Dumplings, The Dumplings is situated a close proximity to the Village. Jamestown Village offers restaurants, shopping, night life, a small beach and a ferry that can take you to Newport and or Rose Island.
WINTER RENTAL: Winter rental includes 1st floor 900sq/ft apartment. Large fully equipped kitchen with a table that can comfortably seat four. The kitchen leads to a cozy family room with a flat screen TV. There are two bedrooms, one bedroom has bunkbeds and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. Additionally, there is a full-size bathroom with shower stall only and a washer & dryer conveniently located right outside the bathroom.
Cleaning fee: The summer rate includes cleaning and linens for all occupants. Please note that beach towels are not included.
Pet fee: Pet friendly on a case by case basis. If approved there will be a $200.00 nonrefundable pet fee per pet, an additional $50.00 cleaning fee per pet.
Bookings 14 nights or greater: Guests that book 14 nights or greater will be charged an additional $25.00 cleaning fee. Guests that book a full month (29 nights or greater) will be charged an additional $50.00 cleaning fee.
