This is a two story Nantucket beach cottage. Down to earth beach living, right on the beach.
Smith Point/Madaket Beach right at your doorstep and a few hundred yards walking to Madaket Harbor's shallow, calm beach.
The first floor has an eat-in kitchen open to the sitting area and a large deck with a great spot to enjoy a sunset cocktail or a meal (teak hightop seats 8). There are two bedrooms downstairs sharing one full bath (tub) with a washer/dryer. One bedroom has two twin beds and the other has a bunk with a trundle - both have beautiful beach views from their windows.
A spiral staircase takes you up to an open full floor master suite with exposed beam ceilings and amazing views! There is an open living room with HD cable TV, a game table, a desk and full bath (shower). The sleeping alcove has a queen bed. The upstairs balcony is perfect for admiring Madaket's best-in-the-world sunsets or just enjoying a quiet read. There is also a pull out twin sofa for extra sleep space. And a desk if you have to work (but don't!)
Enjoy the enclosed outdoor shower on the first floor deck.
The house has a gas grill, a high-top teak table to accommodate 8, and comfy cushioned seating on the deck as well. There are boogie boards, surfboards, beach chairs, umbrella, coolers, and beach toys for your outdoor enjoyment. Inside, the house is stocked with great games, a wonderful library and a DVD collection perfect for a family vacation.
Our home is a great place to relax and enjoy living literally ON the beach. It is casual - sandy feet welcome!
